Start your tour with a visit to the Blue Mosque, an Ottoman imperial tempel, famed for its tiled interior. Across the remains of the Roman Hippodrome of Constantinople, enter the 6th century Byzantium monument of Hagia Sophia, the largest church in the medieval world. After, walk through the successive courtyards of the Topkapi Palace and enjoy its jeweled interior.
After breakfast, drive along the Marmara coast, followed by a ferry ride across the Dardanelle. Arrive to the legendary city of Troy, immortalized in Homer‘s Iliad. After wandering around the city walls, continue on to Ayvalık.
In the morning, follow the Aegean Sea’s coastline to one of the great cities of the ancient world: Ephesus. Numerous temples and other impressive structures portraying the architectural remains of antiquity. We will stop at the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
After a visit to the House of Virgin Mary, a drive will take us to one of the most inspiring sights of Turkey: Pamukkale. Explore formations including the calcareous cascades, calcium stalactites, and shallow travertine basins formed by lukewarm thermal springs.
Have a scenic inland drive through the mountains and valleys to the Mediterranean coast, cross the Taurus Mountains and arrive in Antalya to have an enjoyable stroll through the Ottoman houses, located around the ancient
harbor and enclosed by Roman walls and Hadrian‘s Gate.
Start your discovery of Greco-Roman archeology at the
exclusive site of Perge. After exploring the imposing Hellenistic and Roman structures of Perge, visit a famed jewelry center to enjoy some local samples. In the afternoon, you will visit the Archeological Museum of Antalya.
After breakfast, transfer to Antalya Airport for your flight home via Istanbul.
