In 60 AD, the Apostle Paul changed ships here on his journey to Rome. When Theodosius II made Myra the capital of Lycia in the 4th century AD, Saint Nicholas served as bishop here. Pamukkale. This place, once known as Hierapolis, was famous in ancient times for its warm springs and healing properties. Hierapolis once served as an important health resort with thermal baths and springs whose waters formed the unique white limestone terraces and were used to dye wool, which is why weaving and textile trade flourished and made the city a center of wealth. The numerous sarcophagi and tombs in the necropolis bear witness to a rich past. In the ancient Roman thermal bath, which is still preserved in excellent condition today, you have the opportunity to bathe outdoors in the healing waters of the Roman thermal bath. The day ends with an overnight stay in a comfortable thermal hotel in Pamukkale.

During the return journey to Antalya we follow, among other things, the historic Silk Road and cross the majestic Taurus Mountains.
